SoftSwiss Alternatives Methodology: How We Compare Providers

This SoftSwiss alternatives methodology explains how Platform Atlas compares six iGaming platform providers. We review public material only, label every fact as regulator-confirmed, third-party, vendor-stated, unverified or not published, and order slots 2-6 by a published count of externally backed facts. The first slot is the editor's pick. We do not score vendors or test platforms.

What this site is#

Platform Atlas is a comparison site for casino and sportsbook operators shortlisting a platform provider, with SoftSwiss as the benchmark. It is a desk review of public material as of 2026-10-08. We read what each vendor publishes, look for a regulator or third party that confirms it, and record what nobody publishes, such as prices, SLAs and client references.

We do not score vendors, show star ratings or test platforms. One vendor, PWP, is our editor's pick, which is an editorial placement and not a result. This page sets out the rules so you can reproduce the order yourself.

Scope and selection#

We compare six alternatives with SoftSwiss: PWP, EveryMatrix, GR8 Tech, Slotegrator, Gamingtec and 01.tech. A supplier qualifies if it sells an operator-facing casino platform, or a bundled white label or turnkey stack with a sportsbook or aggregator option.

We excluded game studios, affiliate tracking tools and development agencies, which solve different problems. Names that comparison pages often list, such as BetConstruct, SoftGamings, Playtech and Soft2Bet, are not in this version, and their absence is not a judgement. The providers page lists everyone covered. The selection guide shows how to test any vendor against your own markets.

Evidence statuses#

Every sourced fact carries one of five statuses, shown as a chip with text and an icon. The definitions match those in our data file.

Status chipDefinition
Regulator-confirmedConfirmed on a regulator register or regulator publication we could open
Third-partyReported by independent trade press or a review source (not the vendor); not independently audited
Vendor-statedStated by the vendor on its own site or press release; not independently audited
UnverifiedClaimed, but we could not confirm it in a public register or primary document at the time of review
Not publishedThe vendor does not publish this information

A status is never upgraded without a new source. As of 2026-10-08 only one licence fact is regulator-confirmed: the UK Gambling Commission register lists three active licences for EveryMatrix Software Limited, account 39383. Every other licence fact is vendor-stated, unverified or not published.

How facts are gathered#

We work in five steps.

  1. Read the vendor's own public pages: product pages, legal documents and press releases.
  2. Look for corroboration in regulator registers, trade press and review sources.
  3. Record each fact with its status, source URL and check date.
  4. Where a vendor's own pages disagree, for example on game counts or launch times, show the disagreement instead of choosing a figure.
  5. Write "not published" when a value is missing. We never estimate prices.

Vendor numbers are attributed in the sentence ("X states..."). The home table, comparison tables and at-a-glance blocks read from one data file, so text and tables cannot drift apart.

The six comparison facts#

Every vendor is compared on the same six facts, so you can read across a row:

  • Content: games and studios the vendor states.
  • Crypto: coins or networks named, as opposed to a general claim.
  • Sportsbook: whether one is offered, and the sports, markets and odds sources stated.
  • Licence: the licence the vendor cites, and whether a regulator register confirms it.
  • Pricing: published prices or revenue-share terms, or "not published".
  • Launch: launch times the vendor states for each model.

Each profile adds a longer facts table and a "What to verify before you sign" list, for example on the EveryMatrix profile.

Ordering rule#

Slots 2-6 follow a rule you can reproduce from the data file:

  1. Sort by the number of the six cells whose status is regulator-confirmed or third-party, highest first.
  2. Break ties by the number of cells marked not published, fewest first.
  3. If still tied, keep the order in the data file.

Counts as of 2026-10-08:

VendorBacked by regulator or third partyNot published
EveryMatrix21
GR8 Tech11
Slotegrator00
Gamingtec01
01.tech02

EveryMatrix's two backed cells are its licence cell and a third-party report of a migration time. GR8 Tech's one is its crypto cell, based on trade press. The rule is recalculated whenever the data file changes. It is a transparency device, not a score: it counts externally confirmed facts, not product quality. SoftSwiss is the benchmark and sits outside the order. The same count gives PWP 1 backed and 1 not published, and SoftSwiss 0 backed and 1 not published; neither is placed by it.

Editor's pick#

Slot 1 is an editorial pick, not a result. PWP is shown first and is not scored. Its position does not come from the ordering rule. We have no commercial relationship with PWP.

PWP gets the same template, fact checks, "What to verify before you sign" list and status chips as every other vendor. No vendor can pay to change facts, status labels or the order of the other five. See the PWP profile.

Freshness and updates#

Every page shows a "Last verified" date, and time-sensitive statements say "as of" with a date. If you find something out of date, use the corrections process.

Limits of this review#

Read the results with these limits in mind.

  • We did not use or test any platform, and vendors were not contacted before publication of this version.
  • Several regulator registers could not be queried. The Anjouan Gaming register loads its data with JavaScript and returned no readable records, and we could not open the MGA register or retrieve the UAE GCGRA register.
  • Only one register entry was opened: the UK Gambling Commission entry for EveryMatrix.
  • Our search tools returned US results only, and Ahrefs shows very small volumes for brand-alternative queries, so our view of what buyers elsewhere compare is incomplete.

This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm requirements with a gambling lawyer and the regulator.

Source quality#

Every source is labelled with its publisher and a kind: regulator, third-party or vendor. "Regulator" is used only for a register or publication we opened.

Vendor and competitor-owned sources are flagged. SOFTSWISS publishes licence guides, such as its Anjouan guide, which we use only for general descriptions of a regime and label as published by a vendor in this comparison. Track360 publishes comparison pages while selling affiliate software; we use it only for statements about other companies and flag its commercial interest. Paid posts and press releases count as vendor material.

Ranking sites that put a vendor first are not treated as independent evidence unless they disclose that they have no relationship with it. The same standard applies to this site, so we state that we have no commercial relationship with PWP.
